University Housing and Residential Life Handbooks

An important part of a student’s total education is the living experience. The University Housing and Residential Life staff are committed to our mission statement of providing a clean and safe living and learning environment with quality service.

On-Campus Single Housing

Dormitory & Apartments

The residence hall or Hale (pronounced ha-lay) facilities are designed to maximize social interaction between students in a healthy, clean environment, which is conducive to high academic achievement. Separate Hales are designated for men and women.


On-Campus Married Housing

Temple View Apartments

Apartments in Brigham Young University - Hawaii (BYU-H) Married Student Housing (TVA) are available to married students and single student parents with dependent children under the age of 18. Single parents must have legal custody of their child/children to be eligible for residence in TVA.


Off-Campus Housing

BYUH Contracted

BYU-Hawaii works with the community to provide accommodations for some of its single and married students. Therefore, the University has established a contract housing program for its single students to promote the desired environment off-campus.
